Executive Chef Marc Frias
Marc-Thomas Frias has been the Executive Chef of Bumble, Los Altos since November 2011.
After graduating from Culinary School, Marc has worked for such prestigious businesses
as The Campbell House Restaurant under Chef Vincent Brunetto, Orlo’s Restaurant in the Hayes Mansion with Chef Steven Parker, Gio’s with Chef Jeff Nalaway and Faultline Brewing Company with Chef Marc Marelich and the family catering business D’N’L with Chef/Owner Don Boyles to name a few places. Marc Resides in San Jose with his wife Nicole, a Resident Chef for Sur La Table and his daughter, Britny who wishes to follow in the family footsteps of one day becoming a chef.
In his free time, Marc enjoys fishing, hunting, watching his beloved New York Rangers and West Ham United or rummaging through second hand music stores adding to his collection of vinyl recordings.
In combinations with his love for food and the outdoors Marc’s approach is: Don’t over
do it! Keep it simple, clean and preserve the natural flavors of the food.
Marc has now brought his easy going approach and love for all food to Bumble, and is
excited to be working with Mary and Brian to help expand the concept of high quality farm-to-table meals.
Betsy Allen - Director of Sales & Event Design 
Betsy Allen has been the event guru of Bumble, Area 151 & Play since October of 2012.
After graduating from San Jose State in 2005 with a degree in hospitality management, Betsy has worked for a variety of companies specializing in everything from off-site catering and production to golf club banquet management. She has orchestrated elegant weddings, large corporate galas, intimate wine-paired dinners, and social occasions celebrating personal landmarks. Her varied experience gives her that extra edge and understanding that ensures your event will go off without a hitch.
Betsy was raised in San Francisco (yes, an actual native) and started working in restaurants at the age of 15. She has always had a passion for food and beverage and a tasteful eye when it comes to design. She takes pleasure in collaborating with clients on their vision and seeing it all come together on the day of the event, giving friends, family and colleagues a happy and memorable experience.
In her free time Betsy enjoys attending the theater and exploring the world and its many different cultures and cuisines. Her last excursion took her to Morocco, where she roamed the streets of Marakesh's great medina and slept in the Sahara with a Bedouin tribe. She also has been found exploring the exotic treasures of Thailand and the architectural marvels of Dubai. And if the circus is in town you can count on her being there!
Travel and theater have further refined her craft, providing diverse channels of inspiration that influence her creations and bring more depth to each event. Here at Bumble she gets a special thrill out of creating events for kids, because their imagination has no limits and for them the world can still be magical.
